The Branham Lakes Campground is a nice rustic campground on 3 acres. At almost 9,000 feet elevation, this campground is one of the highest places you can drive to in Southwest Montana. There is a ADA accessible toilet, water in spring/summer, as well as acess to Branham Lake for fishing. There is no boat launch area. The road to Branham Campground may not be suitable for low-profile vehicles, the alpine meadows and views of the Tobacco Root mountains are worth the trek. The campground's six sites rest along the lakeshore, surrounding by the beauty of nature.

No. Branham Lakes Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through fs.usda.gov.
From Sheridan go east on Mill Creek Road for about 13 miles. Road conditions can be an issue so the road is not recommended for those with trailers. Please call for specific road conditions.
Forest-wide stay limit: Camping in an area, campsite, or developed campground is limited to 16 accumulated days within any 30 day period. The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest has a mandatory forest-wide Food Storage Order. Food Storage Requirements 20 Opening of camground is dependant on weather and road conditions. Low profile vehicles may not be suitable.
