Off the beaten path, this is a small campground with stock facilities and public corrals. The nearby trailhead is primarily used for horseback riding and hiking into the Great Burn area. Campsites feature fire rings and picnic tables.

Yes. Clearwater Crossing Campground is free to use. It is managed by the USFS.
From I-90 exit 66, head south on Fish Creek Rd. No. 343 for 10.4 miles. Turn right on West Fork Fish Cr. Rd. No. 7750, following signs for University of Iowa camp. In 6.6 miles, turn left into campground, just before trailhead and end of road. Roads are generally passable by passenger car, but be cautious for fallen rock.
No stock allowed in the campground.
