About this place

This is a large dispersed camping area along the Snake River in Hells Canyon. There are no formal parking or camping units. The camping area is used by both tent campers and RVs. Few amenities exist. There is one outhouse and informational sign near the entrance. Allison Creek Trailhead is across the Hells Canyon Road with access to Allison Creek Trail (#514).

How do I get to Big Bar Camping Area?

From Cambridge take Highway 71 down to the Snake River, approximately 26 miles. Then continue on Highway 71 another 30 miles to the entrance of the camping area.
