Long Pine Key campground is open seasonally November-May. It is one of two frontcountry camping options run by the “Flamingo Adventures'' concession. Often-breezy winter weather conditions can create a wind chill factor that makes perceived temperatures feel considerably cooler than what the thermometer reads.

What are the rules at Long Pine Key Campground?

Maximum of eight people and two vehicles per campsite; one RV and one or two tents per campsite. Check-out time is 12 p.m. Register by 10 a.m. Campground speed limit is 15 mph. Obey all traffic signs. RV's and vehicles must be parked on paved parking area. An extra vehicle must park on the grassy shoulder, parallel to the road. Roller skates, skateboards and similar devices are not permitted. Generators may be operated from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. only. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Pets must be kept on a leash (max. of 6 feet in length) at all times. Pets are only allowed in the campground, parking lots and along roadsides. Do not leave pets unattended and clean up after your pet. Wastewater drainage of any kind is prohibited. Use the dump station for sewage and gray water disposal. Washing of dishes, food, clothing, or other property, and bathing at public water faucets is prohibited. Utility sinks for dish washing are located in the rear of each restroom. The use of portable showers is prohibited.
