About this place

This campground is open year around unless inaccessable due to weather and snow. Hiking, fishing, bicycling, motorcycle and ATV. Access to Lion Canyon multiuse trail at campground. East Bear Gulch, Stutz and Tanner trailheads are all within 6 miles and are also multi-use trails. 15 campsites which are for tents and/or very small trailers. Parking spur, tables, fire rings and grills are provided at this campground. There is no drinking water or trash receptacle provided. There are 3 older non-handicap-accessible toilets.

How do I get to Oak Creek Campground?

From Hwy 50 in Canon City, go south on 9th street until 9th street turns into Elm Ave. Turn right on Elm Ave, proceed for one block and then turn left onto Oak Creek Grade Road. The campground is approximately 15 miles on the left.
