About this place

The Homestake Designated Dispersed Area encompasses all campsites along National Forest System Roads (NFSRs) 703, 703.1C, 703.2B, 704, and 727. Forty-eight sites have been designated for camping along these roads. Sites are marked with signs and each has a metal fire ring/grill. Camping and campfires are not permitted on these roads outside of these sites.

How do I get to Homestake Designated Dispersed?

From I-70 Exit 171, travel east on US 24 approximately 12.5 miles and take a right on Homestake Road (NFSR 703). An informational kiosk is located 0.5 mile down the road and provides information on the sites.
