Glade Guard Station is a historic Forest Service guard station constructed on the former Montezuma National Forest in about 1916. It is a remote guard station situated in The Glade country nestled among the aspen and oak at the edge of large meadows.Glade Mountain is nearby to the east.

How do I get to Glade Guard Station?
From Dove Creek, travel south on US 491 for 10 miles to County Road R. Turn left (east) on Cty R. Travel east on Cty R for 2.9 miles to County Road 16. Turn (right) south on Cty 16 and travel 1.3 miles to County Road S. Turn left (east) on Cty S and travel for 1.3 miles crossing the Dolores River to the junction with NFSR 504. Turn left (north) on NFSR 504 and continue for 13 miles to the junction with NFSR 514. Turn right (east) on 514 and continue for 2 miles. At junction, turn left (north) onto NFSR 512. Continue for 1 mile and then turn left (west) onto NFSR 497 Glade Guard Station road.
