About this place

Cimarrona Campground is located next to Cimarrona Creek with views of the meadow and Williams Reservior to the south. The campground has 21 sites. There are both sunny and shady sites to choose from as well as a few sites that can handle large-sized RVs. It?s only a short walk to fish in the creek. The campground is adjacent to the Cimarrona Trailhead. Services include potable water, trash pickup, vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire grates. From the end of September through October, the campground remains open with limited services and 1/2 price fees. Between November and May, there are no services (water, trash pick up or restrooms). Please keep the campground clean and pack out any trash.

How do I get to Cimarrona Campground?

From Pagosa Springs, CO: Travel about 15.5 miles on Piedra Road. Continue to FR 631 for about 6 miles. Turn right onto FR 640 for 4 miles to the campground entrance. It is located 2.3 miles north of Teal Campground on Forest Rd. 640, above Williams Creek Reservoir and near the end of the road. Cimarrona Campground (This sketch map is not drawn to scale.)

What are the rules at Cimarrona Campground?

Quiet time is typically between 10pm - 6am. Please be a good neighbor and limit use of generators to no more than one hour at a time. Dogs must be leashed or otherwise physically restrained. Do not leave pets unattended. Check-out time: 12:00 pm; Check-in time: 2:00 pm - if the site is empty, campers may come in anytime. Standard single site occupancy is 8, but a single family with > 8 members is acceptable. Equipment with wheels (RVs, campers, cars) must fit in the parking spur. There is not any overflow parking available. Max RV size = 35 ft
