The Chris Park Group Campground, one mile south of Haviland Lake on Forest Rd. 166, has three group campsites. Two group sites accommodate 75 campers each. A third group site accommodates up to 150 people, has a pavilion, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, electricity and RV access. The park is mostly flat and open, partly shaded by a few large ponderosa pines. Services at all three group sites include water, trash pickup, campfire rings, picnic tables, electrical hookups and restrooms.

From Durango, CO: Travel 19 miles north on Highway 550. Turn right on Haviland Lake Road. After about 0.3 miles, turn right on Chirs Park Road and follow for approximately 1 mile. Area map of Chris Park Campground
Quiet time is typically between 10pm - 6am. Please be a good neighbor and limit use of generators to no more than one hour at a time. Dogs must be leashed or otherwise physically retrained. Do not leave pets unattended. Check-out time: 12:00 pm; Check-in time: 2:00 pm - if the site is empty, campers may come in anytime. Standard single site occupancy is 8, but a single family with > 8 members is acceptable. Equipment with wheels (RVs, campers, cars) must fit in the parking spur. There is not any overflow parking available. Max RV size = 50 ft Accessibility: Group site 3 is a barrier-free group camp area.
