Lakeside Campground is located on the picturesque Prosser Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest, just 10 minutes north of Truckee. Visitors enjoy the area for its boating, canoeing, fishing and abundant hiking and off-road trails. This facility is operated and maintained by the Tahoe National Forest.

No. Lakeside Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
From Truckee take Highway 89 North approximately four miles north of I-80. Look for Prosser Recreation Area sign on the right. Take a right onto paved road and campground entrance will be on the left in approximately one mile.
Camping and campfires outside designated campground is prohibited in this area. Speed limitations for boats. Access to designated OHV routes from campground. Respect other campers. OHV ingress and egress only.
