Located in a mountainous area near Bass Lake at a 3,400 foot elevation, Kelty Meadow Campground is a horse-friendly camp shaded by pine and cedar trees alongside Kelty Creek. Campsites wide and open enough to accommodate small horse trailers, slide-ins, tent trailers or tents. Campsites are located near Kelty Meadow and some sites have hitching posts, but no corrals. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring and grill. Vault toilets are available. Drinking water is not provided, but a stock water supply is available from the creek. No. Kelty Meadow Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
Take Hwy 41 north from Fresno; continue through Oakhurst to Sky Ranch Road (Forest Road 6S10), which is also Forest Road 10. Travel 11.1 miles; turn left on FR 6S20.
Rservations can be made up to 3 days prior to your arrival. There is a 2 night minimum stay on weekends and a 3 night minimum stay on holidays. Maximum group size per site = 6. Maximum length of stay = 14 nights.
