Echo Lake is a semi-developed, dispersed camping area at the shoreline of Echo Lake near the Caribou Wilderness. A vault toilet is on site, as well as trash recepticals. Echo Lake is a popular place for kayaks and conoes. Be aware that this area was damaged in the 2021 Dixie Fire and hazards still exist.

Yes. Echo Lake is free to use. It is managed by the USFS. It is a dispersed area, so there are no hookups, no water and no trash service unless a report below says otherwise.
