Almanor Group Campground is a large, open site for up to 100 people, located along Highway 89 near the West shore of Lake Almanor. A scenic mixed conifer forest covers the area. Parts of the campground are shaded, while other sections have grassy meadows that often contain wildflowers. Access to Lake Almanor is only a couple miles away. The campground provides amenities including fire rings, BBQ grills, trash cans, and picnic tables. Vault toilets and a drinking water are available. An RV Dump station is just across the highway for a $5 fee. Reserve this site at recreation.gov.
