Located in the Lynx Lake Recreation Area. This campground is located in the ponderosa pine forest about 0.5 mile directly south of Lynx Lake. There are 38 campsites with picnic tables and pedestal grills. They are generally large enough to accommodate most recreational vehicles under 40 feet in length. No. Hilltop Campground charges a fee. It is managed by the USFS. Sites are reservable through recreation.gov.
Access is by paved road. From the Courthouse Plaza go east on Gurley Street. Turn east onto Highway 69. Go 4 miles to the turnoff to Walker (Forest Road 197). Follow this road for approximately 3 miles to the campground sign. Turn left onto this access road; the campground is less than 0.5 mile from Walker Road.
