About this place

Chevelon Crossing is a scenic and historic camping area. Built originally by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930 's, the campground is situated along Chevelon Creek. NO trash collection available. This is a pack-it-in / Pack-it-out area. Take your trash with you when you leave. Chevelon Crossing Campground also serves as the Long Draw North Trailhead for the Long Draw OHV trail. Chevelon Crossing Campground is not hosted and therefore NO FIRES are allowed when the forest is in fire restrictions.

How do I get to Chevelon Crossing Cg?

Directions from Winslow: Travel 25 miles south on Forest Road 34 to Forest Road 504, campground is located just off FR 504 at Chevelon Creek. From the south take Forest Road 300 to Forest Road 169, follow 169 north to the junction of Forest Road 504, turn right and follow Forest Road 504 to the campground. From Heber, turn north on Forest Road 504 across 260 from the Hiltop CircleK and follow it 17 miles to the campground.
