Bartlett Flat is farther up the road from Yellow Cliffs along the water's edge of Bartlett Lake. When water levels are low, this beach-like retreat offers more room for camping, beaching and launching your boat. Typically, visitors bring a canopy or a small RV to provide shade during their day-long outings along the lake. This site is 23 miles east of Carefree. Take Cave Creek Road 7 miles. Turn right on Bartlett Dam Road and continue for 12 1/2 miles. Then turn left on FR 459. Continue on FR 459 (a paved, low-speed road) for 3 miles and an additional ??-mile on an unpaved road to the site.
